Triniteq recently collaborated with Liverpool Stores on a groundbreaking project: the launch of the first Disney Animation Cafe at the Perisur location in Mexico City.
Liverpool Stores, the leading high-end department store chain in Mexico, has been a long-time partner of Triniteq, with a relationship spanning over 20 years and 102+ restaurant locations.
The Disney Animation Cafe offers an immersive dining experience where guests can feel transported into the world of Disney, surrounded by the artistry that brings beloved characters to life.
From walls adorned with characters like Stitch, Simba, Elsa, and Cinderella to custom-designed furniture and menus, every corner of the cafe is meticulously crafted to make visitors feel like part of the Disney animation process.
Guests are encouraged to discover their inner artist and experience the journey behind every Disney story, all while enjoying a seamless and enchanting customer journey powered by innovative technology.
The Challenge
Liverpool Stores faced a unique challenge while preparing for the launch of the Disney Animation Cafe. They needed a highly specific, mostly contactless workflow that would integrate with their existing POS system, PowerEPOS.
A critical component of this project was the implementation of interactive kiosks to simplify the ordering process, allowing customers to enjoy the experience without interruptions. The customer journey had to be mostly contactless to ensure both convenience and accessibility. However, at the time, Triniteq’s PowerEPOS did not have a kiosk front-end solution.
Key requirements for the Disney Animation Cafe included:
- A seamless integration between PowerEPOS and free-standing kiosks for customer self-service.
- Integration with other systems: Liverpool's booking platform and kitchen display screens.
- A workflow allowing customers to book and order via kiosks, with minimal staff involvement for additional orders.

The Solution
To bring Liverpool’s vision to life, Triniteq worked closely with the team to develop a bespoke kiosk solution specifically for the Disney Animation Cafe. After in-depth discussions on the cafe’s unique requirements, Triniteq designed and implemented a new user-friendly kiosk interface integrated with the PowerEPOS back-end. This interface allowed customers to experience the Disney Animation Cafe as intended: a contactless, customer-driven journey that enhances the magical atmosphere.
The new workflow, powered by PowerEPOS, worked as follows:
- Customers booked online or walked into the cafe.
- Reception staff assigned a table number.
- Customers entered their table number into the kiosk and placed their order.
- Customers then moved to their table, where food and drinks were delivered to them, allowing them to stay immersed in the Disney environment.
- Any additional orders were managed via PowerEPOS tablets used by the staff.
This custom solution was further enhanced by integrating the kiosk with their online booking platform, for seamless booking management, and kitchen display screens, ensuring smooth communication between online bookings, front-of-house, and back-of-house operations.

On April 30, 2024, Liverpool Stores proudly launched the first Disney Animation Cafe at the Perisur location in Mexico City. The kiosks became a prominent feature of the cafe, offering a nearly contactless ordering experience that allowed customers to fully immerse themselves in the surroundings.
