Available from February 1, 2021, for PowerEPOS version 2021.1.20.0
Main Updates
New User Permission Flags
Now you have the option to add extra security to your POS in the form of additional User Permission Flags. These settings can be accessed through the Users tile and when checked, the creation of custom products and messages within POS will be restricted by permissions set up in Access Roles. This is useful if you need to restrict the creation of custom products or messages to specific staff such as managers.
Custom Message Text Wrapping on KP Dockets
Previously, custom messages with more than 18 characters would be cut off the docket. This has now been fixed and messages now wrap to the next line resulting in the whole message being printed on the docket.
Adjustment Panel Display Fix
Previously, even though the discount was created, the following error message would be displayed when an open value adjustment was created in the adjustment panel – ‘No reward configured for this discount’. This has now been fixed and the message notifies the user that the discount can be applied.
Tablet Landscape Orientation on Autorotation
As the PowerEPOS touchscreen display presents the most clearly on Windows tablets in landscape orientation, now, as soon as PowerEPOS launches it will lock into landscape on all supported devices.
Display Rendering Improvements
Extensive improvements have been made to the rendering system to large orders and long reports resulting in vastly improved screen loading and response times.
Tipping
Now, when customers add tips as overtender, a prompt is displayed to confirm that the overtender is intended to be used as a tip.
Credit Card Payments
Credit card payment keys now work with the “Requires Tendering” auto prompt. When the flag is checked, the tender amount will always be required to be manually entered.
POS Server
Improvements have been made to the configuration synchronisation system which further increases publishing speeds.
POS System Manager (PSM)
The system screen permission issue with the auth server has been fixed.
