Speed Up Payments: Pay@Table Now Available for More Providers

The hospitality industry is embracing a game-changing feature: Pay@Table. The payment process has long been a significant challenge in dining experiences. We've all experienced the frustration of waiting to settle the bill after placing a credit card down. This delay often arises from a disconnect between the restaurant's POS system and their EFTPOS terminal.

Traditionally, servers must deliver the bill, fetch the payment terminal, process the payment, and update the POS system. This lengthy process is repeated for each table, leading to significant delays. Pay@Table technology is set to change this. By combining the POS and payment functions into a single device, it simplifies the process of paying and updating the bill in the system. Read on to discover how this innovative payment technology can speed up table turnover and boost your restaurant's revenue.

Now Available for More Payment Providers

Previously only available through Tyro, Pay@Table is now available through the following payment providers:

How Pay at Table Works

Pay@Table integrates your POS system with your EFTPOS terminal. Servers can view open tables, see outstanding bills, process payments, and close tables all on one device. Instead of making customers go to a counter or wait for traditional bill processing, servers can present the bill and the payment device together. The table status updates in real-time across all systems, minimising errors and optimising operations.

Benefits of Pay@Table Technology

  1. Increased Efficiency: With Pay@Table, the POS system isn't tied up with payment processing. This allows it to be used for managing tables and taking orders, reducing foot traffic, eliminating queues, and turning tables faster. This efficiency frees up staff to focus on service, boosting sales and enhancing overall restaurant payments.

  2. Improved Customer Satisfaction: Waiting to pay can frustrate customers. Pay@Table simplifies the payment process and offers the option to split the bill by the number of diners or a custom amount, enhancing the dining experience and increasing customer satisfaction.

  3. Encourages Generous Tipping: The integrated EFTPOS terminal includes a gratuity calculator, offering various tipping options. This clear display encourages customers to tip more generously and reduces confusion about tipping protocols. The terminal can prompt for tips as a percentage or a custom amount, or this feature can be turned off if preferred.

  4. Builds Customer Relationships: Using Pay@Table allows servers to spend more time with customers, ensuring they have a great experience.

  5. Safer Transactions: Customers are increasingly concerned about payment security. With a mobile payment device, customers' cards stay with them throughout the transaction, ensuring their card details remain secure and reducing the risk of chargebacks for your business. This aspect of Pay@Table enhances the safety of restaurant payments.
